TetraMedia, the publisher of SailWorld.com is looking for a marine industry journalist, with sailing and strong power-boating experience. Three months ago TetraMedia launched Sail-World Cruising now we are ready for the step into Powerboating with our news Boating and Boats site going live in the next week.
Sail-World established in 2000, is the largest marine news network in the world. It now has regional sites around the world, with Sail-World UK-Europe, Sail-World Asia, Sail-World NZ, Sail-World USA, Sail-World Australia, Sail-World World Cruising and Sail-World Australian Cruising.
Each week, more than 80,000 newsletters are sent to Sail-World subscribers, by its six editors. Sail-World daily page views are now running at more than 125,000 per day. Half a million racing and cruising sailors will visit Sail-World in 2006.
The Power of the Internet is now allowing the delivery of major Sail-World and Sail-World Cruising feature articles, up to 4,000 words with 10-15 pictures, including Flash visuals with full screen images and audio inclusions coming shortly. Similar content will be seen on our new Powerboating site.
Broadband Internet and Skype allows writers to be anywhere, for instance our Sail-World Cruising Editor has been working from Istanbul and will soon head across the Med to arrive in the US before Christmas. Our UK-Europe Editor divides his time between Spain and the UK. Our Feature writer could be based in Australia,the UK, USA but be travelling internationally.
The Marine Feature Writer position will suit an experienced free-lance writer, being published in boat magazines, initially with 40 – 60 hours per month available, hours flexible.
