Marlow Ropes on board with Skandia Team GBR 2008

Skandia Team GBR 2008 – the British sailing team in training for the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 and London 2012 – has today announced the signing of Marlow Ropes as Official Supplier and Exclusive Team Ropes Partner.
This team partnership was announced at the RYA Dinghy Sailing Show in Association with Yachts & Yachting, which was being held at the Alexandra Palace in London over the weekend of 4-5 March 2006.
Great Britain is the world's top Olympic sailing nation, having topped the medal table at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. Skandia Team GBR is recognised today as one of the UK ’s most successful sporting teams in terms of medal results.
Stephen Park, Olympic Team Manager welcomed Marlow Ropes to the team as an Official Supplier: 'Marlow Ropes have been a supporter of the team for a number of years, helping both the support team and the sailors directly. Marlow Ropes will support Skandia Team GBR through the supply of products to the overall team as well as supporting directly six sailors in the Olympic Development Squad per year, to be announced every two months. The first sailors to be supported through this scheme will be Luke Patience and Chris Crube in the 470, winners of the 2005 ranking series.
