Noelex 22's - Cannonball runs away with SI Champs

by Event Media on 15 Nov 2005
Richard Hawkins sailing Cannonball was the runaway winner of the South Island Noelex 22 Championships, winning some races by several minutes. The vent was sailed at the Port Chalmers Yacht Club, Otago.

However competition was keen for the other podium places between Lyric (Laurie Chandler), Charade (Alex Bruce) and Diuble dark (Ken Camp)

In fact, Ray Shearer (Symphony) was the only boat to beat Hawkins and crew to the top mark - thanks to a short lived but fortuitous port hand shift at the pin end on the gun.
