SYFA Solutions Elliott 7 Spring Cup

The SYFA Solutions Elliott 7 Spring Cup will be sailed this weekend in Canberra Angus Reid
Canberra Yacht Club is hosting the inaugural Elliott 7 Spring Cup to be held over this weekend on picturesque Lake Burley Griffin. The event is sponsored by SYFA Solutions, a Canberra based ICT Security and Risk Management business.
Canberra is at it's best during Spring with good breezes from the west. In amongst the gorgeous surroundings will be some very tight class racing with 5 back to back heats on Saturday followed up by the normal Club race on Sunday.
The Saturday races will be have an on-water International Judge John Whitfield for calling those tighter moments.
New class convert, veteran Hobart winner Mike Green will have his first regatta in the E7, sailing against local hot shot, past Hardy Cup winner and Tasar guru Bruce Paine steering Peter Barters Escapade.
Other notable sailor taking part is multiple Hog’s Breath winner Angus Reid in Humungus and 18 Ft Skiff veterans Matt Owen on WalterTurnbull and Andre Webster in HippyHippyShake.
The E7 fleet is having a revival with a new class builder Cameron Price and the nationals to be held during Skandia Week in Geelong .
