BMW Oracle have todate announced that Gavin Brady has resigned from BMW ORACLE Racing.
Brady has been sailing as tactician this week at Louis Vuitton Act 6 in Malmo, following a change in the afterguard lineup that put BMW ORACLE Racing CEO Chris Dickson on the helm. The new afterguard combination produced good results in Malmo, however, Brady today submitted his resignation after he and the team were unable to agree on the terms of his future role.
'BMW ORACLE Racing is fortunate to have a great depth of talent across all areas of the team,' said Dickson. 'Bertrand Pacé steps into the tactician’s role today. Pacé has been an important part of our afterguard for the past 18 months and is ready to take on the tactician’s role.'
The 44-year-old Frenchman is in his sixth America’s Cup campaign.
