Australia’s Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page are on target to win their second 470 World title in succession at the St. Francis Yacht Club hosted event in San Francisco, USA.

Following further racing overnight, in which the pair scored a win and a second place, Wilmot and Page have a 28 point lead over their nearest rivals, Nick Rogers/Joe Glanfield (GBR), with current third placed overall Gildas Philippe/Nicolas Leberre a further three points behind.

Mathew Belcher/Nick Behrens (AUS) are also having a great run in fifth place overall, two points behind Portugal’s Alvaro Marinho/Miguel Nunes and with some hard work and only one day remaining, could reach a podium finish.

Women’s World no. 1 ranked pairing, Ingrid Petitjean/Nadege Douroux (FRA) have worked their way to the top of the leaderboard, with 2-1 results, overtaking yesterday’s leaders, Marcelien de Koning/Lobke Berkhout (NED) who have slid down to third place, while Christina Bassadone/Saskia Clark (GBR) have moved up one place into second place with a win and a second place.

Australia’s top two ranked pairs, Elise Rechichi/Tessa Parkinson and Lauren Jeffries/Rike Ziegelmayer are 11th and 13th placed respectively.

Racing finishes Sunday San Francisco time.
