Tony Bullimore has just called the TEAM LEGATO race office to say that they
will NOT be stopping at Wellington to pick up a replacement for the
satellite transmitter washed overboard earlier today.

'No one can be sure when the replacement transmitter would arrive in
Wellington and we cannot afford to waste any time.' The British skipper
confirmed. 'We are racing on, working hard to catch up with our Polish
rivals on Warta Polpharma. We may also overtake Team Adventure which is now
in Wellington as well.' He added.

'The satellite dish is important, but not essentail and does not affect
safety onboard. We have a second satellite phone (NERA Satcom M) which will
work for several days after we leave New Zealand and again when we get to
Cape Horn. In between time, we will just have to make contact over the SSB
radio to get our weather information over'.
