The late arrival of the western monsoon has delivered fabulous weather for the large crowds spread across the hundreds of resorts on Koh Samui.
However the sailors in the 2005 Koh Samui regatta are looking for more breeze.
Yesterday afternoon during the Lay Day, the Race office was busy. PRO David Brookes added two new shorter courses - 7 and 8.
Course Seven is the Lamai Beach course, 18 nautical miles in length. Lamai is an amazing white sand beach, very popular with the visitors.
Course Eight is Pah An Gan and heads north 20 nautical miles.
This morning walking down on the beach and looking seawards up and down the coastline, David Brookes commented that maybe he needed to add at least one more course - Course 9, the Golf Course.
At 8:20am, the AP flag was hoisted on the flagpole between Tradewinds and the Central Samui Beach Resort.
Updates when the breeze kicks in.
