Welcome party for Koh Samui Regatta

The Koh Samui Regatta is renowned for its entertainment amnd for sailors arriving early for the annual regatta, organisers have a special treat lined up at the Pre-Regatta welcome party.

Come Saturday evening 21st May, as well as a free buffet, the island sponsor, Coco Blues Bar in Chaweng will also proudly present Coco York LIVE!

Samui’s CoCo Blues, the driving force behind the Koh Samui Music Festival, has raised the bar in the island live music stakes with the announcement of a special series of concerts by US blues diva CoCo York.

For three nights only, this copywriter’s musical marriage made in heaven, CoCo @ CoCo’s, is a date for the diaries of all music lovers.

Schooled in the classics, opera and the blues, this versatile songstress has performed with musical legends including BB King, The Crusaders, Lionel Ritchie and Chaka Khan.

CoCo has even sung twice for President Bill Clinton who took the time to write to her personally to thank her for bringing so many American’s together.

CoCo began her musical career in the French quarter of New Orleans and has since travelled the world, including making an important pilgrimage to Africa, to discover the rhythms of her roots.

She has previously performed across South East Asia with the American Voices ensemble.

CoCo York will be supported live onstage at CoCo Blues by Bangkok’s downtrodden Soi Dog Blues Band and the flying fingers of Keith EZY Rollin Nolan on keyboards.
