Sweden's Seldén Mast has announced that the Bavaria 35 Match racers have been upgraded with new Seldén spars for Match Race Germany, which is currently under way on Lake Constance in southwest Germany.
The boats have been fitted with Seldén's C211 section incorporating the recently launched MDS full-batten system.
‘As a result of the partnership with Seldén and the provided state-of-the-art rigs, we did the maximum to equip the Bavaria 35 Match series yachts with material worth being used by the best sailors in the world under extreme conditions,' says Eberhard Magg from Speedwave Rudi Magg, organisers of Match Race Germany.
‘The skippers will be happy with what they will find above the deck.’
In the Swedish Match Tour, five of the eight events feature boats that were rigged by Seldén.
Founded in 1960, the Seldén Group is one of the world's largest mast producers, with production facilities in Gothenburg and Svartå, Sweden; Southampton, England; Brouwershaven, the Netherlands; Charleston, South Carolina, USA.
It also has a sales subsidiary in Denmark and licensed production in both Argentina and Australia.
