Paparazzi, spaghetti AND some sailing!

by Andrea Francolini on 27 Feb 2005
'I've had a great day on the water,' Crown Prince Frederik tells his Princess Andrea Francolini Photography http://www.afrancolini.com/
The Rolex Farr 40 Pre-Worlds just came to an end, and as expected, everything warmed up little by little....

Rushcutters Bay was swamped by paparazzi (I wonder why?)while the boats got ready to leave the dock. Some containers were full of sails and tools, whilst others managed to slip in some home-made spaghetti so as to make their crew feel at home!

Exciting racing on off the Heads brought together the best sailors in the world along with all the specialized media.

Many paparazzi tried their best to follow HRH Prince Frederik of Denmark while sailing, but Mother Nature took care of matters and quickly established the rules, while giving a shake and stir to some who are not used to being out on a boat!

This top gun event was supposed to be a sort of warm-up, but everyone played till the last drop of blood was spilled.

Great conditions crowned the event on the last day with a little taste of what could await the sailors come Tuesday.

Photographers and sailors alike are just waiting for the conditions to strengthen, hoping for the best action Sydney can give.

All the images of the Rolex Pre-Worlds can be seen on: www.afrancolini.com Key word: Rolex Farr 40

See you out there as the Harbour is always at boiling point!

Ciao
Andrea
