Sail stunning Koh Samui

by Event Media on 6 Feb 2005
Sunsail has announced the opening of a new base in one of the world’s most beautiful cruising grounds, the island of Koh Samui in Thailand.

The Koh Samui base offers a range of exciting sailing flotillas during Thailand’s dry season from May through to September in 2005.

Koh Samui is located 80 kilometres off the coast of Suratthani and approximately 560 kilometres south of Bangkok and was in no way affected by the Boxing Day Tsunami.

Serviced by its own airport, with regular flights from Phuket, Singapore and Bangkok, the island is a mecca for sailing and diving enthusiasts.

Due to popular demand, Sunsail has released a calendar of 2005 flotillas that will encompass a stunning cruising area including the Ang Thong islands – the original setting for the bestselling novel ‘The Beach’ – as well as the famous diving destination Koh Tao, plus Koh
Phangan – home of the legendary ‘Full Moon Party’.

Led by a Sunsail skippered yacht, the 11-night flotillas are the perfect way to experience a guided adventure through Thailand’s remarkable cruising area, while still having the privacy and comfort of your own yacht.

Flotillas are also ideal for holidaymakers who do not have the confidence to charter a yacht on their own.

Guests can charter a luxury 35' Jeanneau yacht and choose to join one of Sunsail’s great range of 11-day flotillas.

There is also the flexibility for guests to extend their charter for three days at the end of the flotilla to enjoy some sailing on their own within Sunsail’s cruising grounds.

From just AUD$1,095 per person* and all you have to do is make the phone call.

*(price based on six people aboard a three double cabin Jeanneau 35).
