First of the Jeanneau 64 models heading to Australia and New Zealand

The first of the flagship Jeanneau 64 models is heading to Australia and New Zealand. The 64 has been attracting accolades since her launch and is consistent in providing all who sail on her a feeling of superyacht luxury and performance pedigree.

The luxury is indeed at a level above one would expect from a production yacht as the interior design has come from the boards of the Andrew Winch design house. London based Winch designs grace many an ocean and as they say themselves, “Winch Design sailboats are not boats to be tied up and left in dock. They are boats to be loved deeply and lived in contentedly, horizon-widening vessels for adventure, for keeping spirits soaring and hearts afloat.”

The yacht itself has been designed by Philippe Briand. Briand yachts are well known with names such as Mari-Cha III and IV being recognised by sailing connoisseurs across the world. With the Jeanneau 64 Briand has delivered a modern hull for smooth and fast sailing, superior stability, and a greater interior volume as befits the flagship of the fleet.

Upon testing the 64, Toby Hodges from Yachting World commented that it “oozes class”. Of the layout below Hodges went onto say that “Two things shone out when we stayed aboard the 64: the high-end styling, and the quality of engineering and finish. It is the smallest yacht London-based Andrew Winch has worked on in 20 years and his enthusiastic return to yacht design is marked by the intricate level of detail he has managed to incorporate in the 64. The styling is tastefully nautical and contemporary. It feels smart and special, and pulls off the grace of a superyacht.”

With names like Briand and Winch, and the professionalism of the largest production yacht builder in the world, it was no wonder Hodges was impressed.

Now Jeanneau Australia is very proud to announce that a new Australian based owner was equally impressed and will soon be taking delivery of their new Jeanneau 64. Sold by Queensland Jeanneau Dealer Ian Douglas from Mooloolaba Yacht Brokers, the 64 will spend some time cruising in the Mediterranean before heading to the Antipodes.

“The Jeanneau 64 is the yacht that fulfils the dreams of many sailors. As you can imagine, I am very pleased that one of my clients will soon be indulging that dream” said Douglas.

Douglas when onto describe the yacht - “This particular model is a three cabin version and will be fitted out with all the luxury components one would expect of a yacht of this calibre. Life on board will be comforted by full air conditioning , dishwasher, washing machine, ice maker, wine cabinet, tender garage with electric loading for a Williams Jet Tender, and state of the art electronics. The interior design by Andrew Winch is a subtle luxury of beige nubuck leather and natural oak furniture.”

Mooloolaba Yacht Brokers and all at Jeanneau Australia look forward to welcoming the new owner and their friends to the world of Jeanneau.
