Mirabaud Sailing Video Award discloses prestigious international jury Mirabaud Sailing Video Award
Mirabaud Sailing Video Award announces a world class lineup of personalities for its international jury 2017.

Denis Harvey (NZL), producer of the America’s Cup coverage since 1992, Gary Jobson (USA), TV commentator and vice-President of World Sailing, Nicolas Mirabaud (SUI), Member of the Executive Committee, Mirabaud and Cie SA, Melissa Payne (UK), Vice President, IMG, Pierre-Yves Lautrou (FRA), journalist and Dick Enersen (USA), founder of Offshore Productions will select the best sailing video produced in 2017.

The Mirabaud Sailing Video Award is the only event of its kind, aimed at celebrating the best sailing videos produced each year and those who have produced them. It is an annual contest, open to professional cameraman, directors, editors and TV production companies from all over the world, as well as sailors who produce on-board videos during races.

'Today, videos are extremely important in all channels of communication. We can watch videos everyday on all kind of websites or social media. The young generations are spending hours on Youtube and alike. Therefore, I really believe that qualitative videos can be very powerful for the sport and drive more awareness and curiosity towards sailing', says Nicolas Mirabaud.

According to Gary Jobson, who has spend his life producing qualitative sailing TV productions, 'the purpose of the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award is to honor extraordinary achievement and inspire videographers and directors to reach for creative images.'

Also a member of the Jury, Denis Harvey, acclaimed worldwide over the past few months for his production of the America’s Cup in Bermuda, says that 'the Award should recognise both technical and story telling excellence. I expect the videos submitted to provide a captivating insight into the world of the sailors and the events covered.'

The winners of the Mirabaud Sailing Video Award 2017 will be announced during a public ceremony held at the Yacht Racing Forum, in Aarhus, Denmark, on November 27-28. He / she will receive a beautiful and prestigious wall clock offered by our partner Hublot, alongside prize-money.
