Volvo Ocean Race - Team AkzoNobel leaves Persico

Farewell celebration as Team AkzoNobel is about to leave the Persico yard in Bergamo, Italy Volvo Ocean Race http://www.volvooceanrace.com
The Simeon Tienpont skippered Team AkzoNobel Volvo65 has left the building facility at Persico Marine in Bergamo, Italy to The Boatyard in Lisbon under the custodianship of GAC Pindar.

Before she left the yard at Persico the team had a celebration to mark the end of the build phase.




In early March four new Volvo 65 spars left Southern Spars Auckland building facility and were freighted to Tauranga before being shipped to England.

TNL GAC Pindar's Richard Thorpe was on hand to supervise the move.
