The first edition of China Coast Rally for Cruisers (CCRC) 9 October – 4 November has begun in Qingdao. The first of its kind in the country’s sailing community, CCRC is a long-distance sailing rally, covering over 1,488 nm from Qingdao to China’s most southerly province Hainan, showing the participants’ determination to do long cruises with strong spirits and seamanship.

CCRC is a sailing rally with social elements, covering four legs for the first year. The participants will start from Qingdao to Nantong as the first leg; then sail to Fuzhou, stopover at Shenzhen for China Cup, and head to Sanya as the last leg, lasting over a month. This event encourages all eligible boats above 35ft to participate. On this occasion, the participants will sail along China’s beautiful coastline and receive warm welcome when they arrive onshore. During the break of each leg, professional sailing seminars, sea trials and other exciting activities are open to the public.

Host venues of the rally include Qingdao International Sailing Center, Tongzhou Bay Yacht Club, Xintong Tingjiang International Yacht Club, Seven Star Yacht Club and Fenjiezhou Island.
