Eye-catching Elan a winner

The aptly named Elan Impression Elan http://www.navsail.com.au
Navsail – Elan Yachts enjoyed a most successful Open Day at Bayview last weekend - the sun came out and although it should not be said - the rain stayed away, certainly helping these outdoor events!

It was very encouraging to see the flow of people who came to view particular yachts of interest again. Those who came to explore the Elan yachts for the first time were most impressed with the fine attributes and pedigree that Elan offer.

Interest was certainly broad, from solo sailors who found the smallest in the range, the Elan 31. She is a real surprise package as she offers such lot for a boat that size, while the ever popular Elan 333 just fits that niche for the ideal family cruiser and or club eventer with great rewards.

It was apparent that many have been following the new model Elan 37 and were very pleased to hear that several of this model are due to arrive on our shores later this and early 2005.

‘New buyers are counting the days and there are many who will be virtually waiting on the docks to place their orders for this very successful model’ added Navsail’s principal, Gael Moldán.

Top racing results from both the Elan 37 and Elan 40 recently, particularly in Norway and Sweden, have been very impressive. ‘It is quite an eye–opener for many race hardies when shown the race result sheets’ reported Rod Parry, Director of Navsail.

‘The perennial Elan 40 has a long list of achievements, as does the Elan 333 - they have been campaigned extremely successfully’.

Not surprisingly, the eye-catching style of the new cruising range, ‘Impression by Elan’, also designed by Rob Humphreys, caught the attention of many bluewater cruising families. The Impression 434, launched in April this year, together with the latest details released of the smaller version, the Impression 374, due to make her debut in Europe next January, drew quite a bit of attention.

This new cruising range is devoted to offer everything the bluewater cruising couple or family look for; elegant style with supreme comfort and exceptional seaworthiness, combined with the capacity to carry an abundance of stores, fuel and water for extended cruising.

The combination of Humphreys design, Elan’s commitment to quality, along with their employment of the latest technology in the construction of hulls and decks using Vacuum Assisted Impregnation Lamination, together with the fact that, all Elan boats are built under the technical supervision of Germanischer Lloyd, has definitely caught many yacht buyer’s eye.
