eyachts welcome Dutch powerboat brand Vanquish Yachts Downunder

eyachts are pleased to welcome the Dutch premium powerboat brand, Vanquish Yachts to the Australian and New Zealand market. These top end performance motorboats are fast, agile, fully customisable and designed to stand out.

Each Vanquish boat is hand-built in the Netherlands and is made from sustainable and easy to maintain aluminium so buyers can enjoy low cost ownership while the boat retains a high resale value.

The Vanquish story is the vision of one man, Tom Steentjes, a welder by trade who began his career making industrial equipment for kitchens. He developed his design and engineering skills by inventing and installing fast food machinery solutions worldwide. In 2012 he decided to transfer his design innovation skills into powerboat design and Vanquish Yachts was born. Tom’s aim was to shake up the powerboat world by combining his love of fast cars and a passion for speed and translate it onto the water. His mission was to build boats for people that love the allure, design and ultimate thrill of premium sports cars.

There are currently seven Vanquish Yacht models, with two more in development. They range from the VQ16 (5.07m), described as a ‘go-kart on water’ to the VQ90 – a 27 metre ‘super yacht’ that offers buyers superior style, luxury and sophistication. The hull, underwater ship and design contours are the same for all models but the length and layout can be changed to suit. Each boat is fully customisable and future owners can design the boat they want and are encouraged to “think outside the box”, whether that is the addition of a vintage dashboard, a glass bottom or a revolving dance floor!

All Vanquish boats share a high-performance engine, comfortable facilities and the capacity to travel at high-speed. The innovative hull design means the boats slice through the water with fast acceleration but it also offers lower fuel consumption and a longer range for exploring further afield. All the operations are environmentally friendly and all the aluminium can be recycled. Currently only 10 -12 boats are hand-built each year and Tom is still personally involved in the boat building process, continually striving to break boundaries in design and quality while using the latest technologies and systems.

In the words of eyachts’ Managing Director, Peter Hrones

“We are thrilled to introduce Vanquish to the powerboat market Downunder. The beauty of Vanquish is that buyers can build the boat they want and customise it to suit their lifestyle. These boats are built to the highest quality and are perfect for buyers that love fast cars and the thrill of a premium sports car – think Porsche or Aston Martin but on water!”
