Whittley join Zipwake Trim Tab Revolution AMI Marine
Impressed with Zipwake’s simple to use operation and high performance, Whittley Marine Group has added Zipwake Dynamic Trim Tab System to their standard fit-out as an option for selected models.

In addition to the already impressive success of Zipwake’s Dynamic Trim Control System, premier builder Whittley Marine Group have now partnered with Australian distributor AMI Marine to include Zipwake as part of their standard fit-out as an option for selected models.

Zipwake will now feature as an option on popular Whittley models CR2600, CR2800, SL26 and SL28 motorboats (26 and 28’ respectively), with strong sales and forward orders for construction this year. Stylish and high performance, Whittley’s mid-size weekenders will be further enhanced by Zipwake’s smoother more comfortable ride.

Zipwake Dynamic Trim Tab System added to these selected models:

Alan Whittley, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Group, was impressed by Zipwake’s performance and user-friendly operation. “My first experience with the Zipwake product, was in the Volvo Penta D3 powered company boat. We had tried and tested blade style trim tabs in the past, and found them to be too aggressive as opposed to our traditional style tab.

The Zipwake product was easy to use, and maintained the boats balance and transition up onto the plane effortlessly.”

“I was so impressed by the performance of the tabs, and like the idea of the automatic option for customers who are new to boating and want to simply set and forget.

We can now couple the Zipwake system up to a Volvo Penta EVC engine management system, and offer the customer the Power Trim Assist option, which means the drive will trim itself and the Zipwake will balance the boat, which is ideal for the new boat buyer as it makes it so easy and overcomes a common fear of trimming your boat.”

Available as a complete kit, modular and fully automatic Zipwake is comprised of a pair of high quality interceptors, a Smart Ride Controller, and all the required networking and cabling for installation. For larger vessels, the system can be extended with up to six interceptors. Equally suited to motor boats as smaller commercial craft, Zipwake Interceptors offer a rapid actuation five times faster than traditional tab systems, and greater control for the Skipper with wake and drag reduced significantly.
