International sailing clothing group Musto Australasia are joining the family of competitors, supporters and sponsors to celebrate SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week’s tenth anniversary regatta which will be held from September 1 to 6.

Regatta hosts, Townsville Yacht Club, announced today the three-year merchandising partnership between Musto and the club’s major, annual event.

Event chair Mike Steel says the inclusion of the outstanding and highly recognisable offshore sailing brand Musto to the event’s list of sponsors will open the way to regatta achieving a global reach in the sailing community in a way which only Musto can achieve.

“I am extremely pleased with the partnership and Musto’s enthusiasm to have a presence at SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week for this and future years,” Steel said.

“The competitors will also get access to high quality of regatta wear which I know my crew will be very pleased to hear,” he added.

CEO of Musto Australasia, David Oliver, says Musto is keen to be working with an event that he sees is ten years young. “This can only help build what is already become a great event,” Oliver said.

The very experienced ocean racer, who races on Victoire and Secret Men’s Business, is taking a more leisurely approach to this event. He is going to introduce himself to the stunning Magnetic Island, the record fleet and all the fun that comes with racing in this part of Australia when he jumps on board Mal and Sylvia Pirret’s Cruising Division entry, the Beneteau Oceanis 45 Champagne.

Musto are offering competitors the opportunity to pre-order Musto crew shirts, and free boat name embroidery, if ordered prior to the regatta.

At the regatta venue and online, Musto will have available for purchase a range of tenth anniversary-branded Items.

A sneak peek of the merchandise for Magnetic Island Race Week is available on the Event Merchandise page.

The Musto merchandise partnership news comes at an exciting time for SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week which has received 72 entries across five divisions.

This year’s regatta is open to IRC, Cruising Spinnaker / Performance Handicap, Cruising Non Spinnaker, Trailable and Multihull entries.
