Bubbles for Rouseabout

by Rob Kothe on 14 Aug 2004
Champagne conditions for Mornington Yacht Club’s Rouseabout at Hogs Breath Race Week, with a win this morning in race two in the IRC Racing Division at the 2004 Hogs Breath Race Week.

The Hart Marine built Inglis 39, with the multi-coloured bubbles on the side showed yesterday that she was in form with a good second behind Aftershock with top class boats including Ichi Ban and Game Set in her wake.

Rouseabout 3, owned by semi-retired architect John Rouseabout has been building form over the last few years.

She’s had good PHS and AMS results in Melbourne and Hamilton since 2001 and capped that with a first on AMS and a second in VYC class at Skandia Geelong Week 2004.

As the breeze built towards 15 knots, Rouseabout sailed above her handicap to win from the top performing Bavaria Match 38 Game Set.

Yesterday's winner, the 2002 Boss Hog Trophy winner Colin O'Neills Aftershock was in third place.
