2016 AWT Morocco - Have you booked your spot? It just over one week until the AWT contest starts and riders from far and wide are adding themselves to the competitor list.

From 15th – 21st May 2016 the next stop on the AWT will be held in Moulay, Morocco with fleets for every level and age group of windsurfer, from across the world.

The local super talents are all excited and ready for the first ever edition of AWT Essaouira and cannot wait for you all to come and experience the best the Morocco has to offer. There will be Moroccan trials this weekend and we are looking forward to great action during the event week.

In the main fleets some big names have now entered including Morgan Noireaux, Diony Guadagnino, Julien Taboulet and Ingrid Larouche. These top international riders will join a whole host of AWT regulars and fresh faces to the tour for one week of exceptional competition.

Schedule:

May 15th

• 9am to 11am riders registration.
• 11:30am-4pm competition (heats can change depending the conditions).
• 6pm, we will have a presentation of the riders to the government in Dar Souiri, and at 7pm we will have the opening ceremony at Taros.

May 16th

• 9am skipper meeting.
• 12-5pm Competition.

May 17th

• 9am Skipper meeting.
• 12-5pm competition.
• 7pm Dinner and party at Lawama.

May 18th

• 9am-12 workshop with local kids about the environement and beach cleanup in Essaouira.
• 12 skipper meeting
• 12:30pm-5pm competition in Essaouira if conditions allow, otherwise an exhibition there.
• 6pm 'Justdiggit' Conference in Darsouiri.

May 19th

• 9am Skipper meeting.
• 12pm-5pm Competition in Moulay.

May 20th

• 9am Skipper meeting.
• 12pm-5pm Competition in Moulay.
• 6pm Moroccan Fantasia on the beach of Moulay.

May 21st

• 9am Skipper meeting.
• 12pm-4pm Competition in Moulay.
• 5pm Prize giving at Darsouiri in Essaouira.
• 7pm Closing ceremony at Taros.

Back racing hard in The Transat CIC and today is some 700 miles from the finish line After a strong, solid start to the Transat CIC, Clarisse Crémer suffered damage to the J3 bulkhead of her L'Occitaine en Provence on May 1st which required her to divert 500 miles to the Azores for five days whilst her technical team completed repairs.
