Multihull Central was recently announced the Seawind International Dealer of the Year at a global dealer conference for Seawind Catamarans and Corsair Marine at their Vietnam production facility.

“Multihull Central have shown great innovation and continue to be strong performers”, Managing Director of Seawind and Corsair, Richard Ward said at the dealer conference.

“This was a real honour to receive”, said Brent Vaughan Managing Director of Multihull Central, “It’s very exciting to see what is happening at Seawind and Corsair.”

“The company has set itself up in a very competitive and central location in new emerging market, have assembled a very talented team of both expat managers and local skilled staff they have trained and now developing new products that will start breaking new ground.”

“With the unique combination of Corsair’s high performance and Seawind’s high quality fit out and ergonomic layouts, we are starting to see new products emerge that combine these two elements like no other”.

The dealer conference saw delegates from around the world attend the three day event, including locations such as Sweden, Germany, the USA, South Korea, Singapore and Australia. Dealer were shown the technology and craftsman ship that sets Seawind’s apart in their design and construction, including a hull being resin infused, in-house timber joinery, a multitude of boats being assembled and new products being developed including the new 52ft Seawind 1600 and Seawind 1160 Resort charter boat.

The conference finished with a sea trial on the newly launched Seawind 1190 Sport, a new performance design from Seawind featuring dagger boards and pop-up rudders, lightweight construction with carbon reinforcement and new performance sails from Doyle on a higher rig. A new Seawind 1190 Sport order has been confirmed for Australia with Syndicate shares now available for Sydney Harbour.

Seawind Catamarans have been manufacturing cruising catamarans since 1982, and are purpose designed for cruising the Asia Pacific regions. Over 400 Seawind catamarans are cruising around the globe with manufacturing now in Vietnam along with subsidiary Corsair Marine, builder of the performance Corsair trailer trimarans that Mulithull Central also distribute.
