Super Boat International (SBI) is proud to announce EDOX Watches, the revolutionary and innovative watchmaker since 1884, as the 'Official Timing Partner' of Super Boat International. Also, GEICO, providing affordable insurance since 1936, returns in 2016 as an official sponsor, who continues to proudly support SBI. Also in the second year of their sponsorship agreement with SBI, Southern Racing Fuels returns as the official supplier of Sunoco Race Fuels.

The SBI race season is upon us and the addition of two new race sites (Mentor and Port Jefferson) should lead to another spectacular year in offshore racing. Racing begins this May and will conclude in Key West this coming November at the 36th Annual Key West World Championship. Founder and President, John Carbonell, is excited about the season and appreciative to the committed sponsors for their involvement and participation for the coming year.

“We are proud to name EDOX as the Official Timing Partner for 2016. They have chosen to get involved with SBI and offshore racing in the U.S., which aligns with their “Sporting Collection - Chronoffshore 1 Series,” comments Carbonell. Their commitment to SBI is season long and will reach a peak during the awards ceremony at the 36th Annual Key West World Championship.

Ariel Paredes, President and CEO of Montres Distributor, comments “We are very excited to be associated with Super Boat International and to be the official time keepers and partner. EDOX is an independent family owned Swiss watchmaking company with over 130 years of history. We are excited to present the Key West World Champions in the Superboat Class a commemorative Chronoffshore Super Boat limited edition watch, made for the occasion. Montres Distributor are the official distributors of this brand in Florida and the Caribbean.

Representatives from Montres Distributors will present the winning driver and throttle-man of the Superboat class with a specially handcrafted engraved Super Boat commemorative Timing Piece. Currently, each time piece is being crafted which is expected to take many months to complete. Each collectable limited edition time piece is valued in excess over $6,000.

Super Boat International is pleased to have GEICO returning for a second year. Gary Goodell, Marketing Director, for the world famous Miss GEICO Offshore Race Team is enthusiastic about GEICO’s continued sponsorship of Super Boat International. “The Miss GEICO team looks forward to recapturing the world title and we are excited our sponsor, GEICO, will continue to sponsor Super Boat International in the coming season. SBI are true professionals and we are extremely fortunate to be a part of their success. SBI has added new race venues and we will have the opportunity to make new friends and reach new fans”.

It wouldn’t be possible without the fuel that drives motorsports and offshore racing. Southern Racing Fuels returns for the 2016 offshore race season as the “Official Supplier of Sunoco Race Fuels”. This aligns Super Boat with the top racing fuel supplier and fuel brand in America. Details for available on event-site fueling, prices and other offers by Southern Racing Fuels will be available at each race site. The new “Official Fuel” of Super Boat, like that of NASCAR is important to high performance sports.

This past January and early February, Super Boat International appeared on NBC Sports. The program features the Super Boat Key West World Championship event from Key West, Florida. It’s with the continued sponsorship support of STIHL Inc., the Presenting Sponsor of the NBC Sports television programming, that makes the national broadcast show a reality.

The 2016 National Series races and Key West World Championship will be streamed live for the fourth consecutive year on Super Boat website. Fans from over 108 countries have enjoyed and watched Super Boat Racing live on race day. Fans can go to website and the Livestream page, register and watch all the exciting action. This year, streaming is on pay per view to support the efforts to bring you the best coverage possible. If you missed the live coverage you can always go back watch the races on Video on Demand.
