The China Cup International Regatta will embrace its 10th anniversary, 27-30 October 2016. The event will take place in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China, under the auspices of the Water Sports Administration Centre of the General Administration of Sport of China and Shenzhen Municipal Administration of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Around 100 boats in IRC and One Design divisions will race, including the CCIR's much-vaunted 25 Beneteau First 40.7s. The four-day event will include nine different classes of competition and eight races: a Hong Kong to Shenzhen passage race followed by inshore races in Daya Bay, Shenzhen.

Prizegiving and social parties will take place in a 5-star resort every evening, about an hour away from the race venue. After each day's racing programme, sailors will be able to stop for refreshment before heading on to the evening's socials. There will be cold beer, nice food and Chinese cultural performances.

Mr. David Zhong, Deputy Secretary-General of China Cup International Regatta Organizing Committee said, “We want to make the races as competitive as possible by attracting the world’s top sailors.'
