2016 FMV Cup – MEXORC International Regatta – Adrenaline has been present every day in MEXORC and this day was no exception. All sailors were prepared early for pursuit race, a race where the boats are output according to the ranking that are, from slowest to fastest.
It was a race of almost four hours, from Marina Vallarta to Punta Mita. The sailors enjoyed the paradise of sailing in Mexico. The wind favored most boats reaching up to 20 knots at its best.
The double windward-leeward course proved to be a speed festival with a big wind shear on the second upwind splitting the fleet. One group went to the bay, the other group went to the shore.
The shore won.
First overall and First Class B and J125 Timeshaver.
Second overall and first class A Concordia 47 Ruahatu.
Third overall and second class B SC-50 Horizon.
All three boats flew Ullman Sails during today's race.
Wednesday will be lay day to MEXORC, nationals and foreign sailors can enjoy the beautiful places characteristic of Puerto Vallarta.
