New Zealand crews have won the Silver Medals in both the Mens and Womens 470 class at the 2016 Worlds sailed in Argentina.
Paul Snow-Hansen and Dan Willcox have won the Silver Medal in the Men's Event. They won the Medal race which counts for double points, but the Croatian crew which had to finish eighth or worse to lose the points lead finished in 5th place. The former world champion Australian 470 crew and 2012 Gold medalists were third overall.
Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie have also finished second in the Women's Event after the conclusion of the Medal races earlier today. The Kiwis finished 3rd in the Medal race with the French crew in fifth, enough for them to take the World Championship.
