Nongsa Point Marina and Resort managed by Nongsa Resorts is holding its inaugural Nongsa Regatta from 27 January 2016 to 31 January 2016 during the peak of the North East Monsoon, with the President of Nongsa Resorts – Mike Wiluan – on the helm to kick start its regatta for the first time.

A veteran in the regatta scene and one of the venue hosts to the Singapore Straits Regatta for nearly 20 years, the resort is set to solely organize and host the inaugural Nongsa Regatta opened for IRC yachts, sports boats and racing multihulls, including the Stand-Up Paddleboard and Radio Control Sailing. Expecting an estimated 500 participants locally and internationally, the regatta will attract a minimum of two dozen entries from each of these categories mentioned.

International yachting participants are set to arrive from Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Additionally, Nongsa Point Marina and Resort will host a dinghy and traditional Kolek race participated mainly by Indonesians.

Apart from competitions, participants and attendees can enjoy a host of daily social events and engaging activities on the resort’s shoreline during the regatta’s opening ceremony on 27 January 2016 until its closing ceremony on 31 January 2016.

Nongsa Point Marina and Resort is thrilled to welcome the regatta challengers to its tranquil respite where the city ends and relaxation begins.
