Following on from the success of ASMEX 2015, the Australian International Marine Export Group and Superyacht Australia has today announced the confirmation of several key speakers for the 2016 event to be held 16/17/18 May 2016.

CEO M Edwards said, “This year once again we have a significant line up of key Australian personalities and international players. With the theme of the conference being “Building a Business for the Future” we have concentrated on speakers that are leaders in their field, speakers who represent major distribution networks and speakers who will provide key industry information and talk about opportunities for Australian businesses in the marine export, superyacht and commercial sectors.

Martin Redmayne will once again be the MC for the Conference. Martin brings a huge amount of experience to the conference and his armchair style interviews rated very highly in 2015.

Edwards announced a small taste of the speaker line up for 2016 and said “We have several other very exciting speakers still to be announced over the coming weeks.”

• Marcus Blackmore – Chairman Blackmores
• Andy Treadwell - Managing Director, Singapore and Thailand Yacht Show
• Martin Baum – Managing Director, Pantaenius
• Mark Richards – CEO Grand Banks and Palm Beach Motor Yachts
• Henk Wiekens- MD Pendennis Shipyard UK
• Key representatives from National Marine and Westmarine USA
• Thom Dammrich - President ICOMIA and President of NMMA USA

The ASMEX Conference is the only platform providing opportunities for the marine export and superyacht industry to gain up to date information on the state of the market and where current opportunities lie to drive business. The conference, held at the five star Intercontinental Hotel at Sanctuary Cove, Queensland runs over two days, 17/18 May and includes a welcome function (Monday 16th May) and the prestigious 2016 Australian Marine Export and Superyacht Awards Gala Dinner (Tuesday 17th May).

The conference is conveniently organised to be held immediately prior to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the Gold Coast Marine Expo ensuring maximum opportunity for all key industry exhibitors and stakeholders to attend.

Registrations will open for the conference on the 14th December 2015. Edwards said “The majority of sponsors have already come back on board allowing us to develop an amazing conference program and keep the conference rates as low as ever. With this caliber of speakers, ASMEX 2016 promises to provide some lively debate and some great insights to building a sustainable business for the future”.

The full detailed conference program will be on the AIMEX and Superyacht Australia website within the next few days.
