HanseYachts AG joins hands with Judel/Vrolijk and Co

HanseYachts AG CEO Dr. Jens Gerhardt and Judel/Vrolijk and Co-Managing Director Torsten Conradi signed a renewal of the contract for designing all our upcoming Hanse, Dehler and Varianta models for the next three years. The signing was celebrated during the annual dealer meeting held at the yard facilities in Greifswald/Germany on Wednesday evening.

Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Jens Gerhardt, CEO of HanseYachts AG, said 'During its 25 year history Hanse Yachts AG has gained a well-deserved reputation for creating award-winning production sailing yachts that break boundaries with their cutting edge designs. We believe that Judel/Vrolijk and Co. is the perfect choice for our sailboat brands Hanse, Dehler and Varianta in developing outstanding serial production boats that combine great design with very good sailing characteristics. We are thrilled to have J/V as part of our team.'

Judel/Vrolijk and Co. a name that has shaped the international yacht building scene for 35 years.

Founded by Rolf E. Vrolijk and Fietje Judel in 1978, today the company is among the world’s most respected design offices for high-calibre sailing yachts, with an international reputation based on countless successful yacht racing projects hatched in the Bremerhaven think-tank.

As chief designer for the America’s Cup team Alinghi, Rolf Vrolijk played a decisive role in enabling European yacht to win the world’s oldest and most prestigious sailing trophy for the first time.
