Histórica victoria del tandem del Real Club Náutico de La Coruña en la Gadis Vigo Bay Laser Extreme, prueba que enmarcada en la Semana Abanca, se celebró en aguas de Vigo.

Al club herculino lo representaron el actual campeón nacional máster de la clase olímpica Finn, Antonio Parra, y Álvaro Sobral. La segunda plaza fue para el Club Nautic Betulo de Badalona (Barcelona), con Alfredo Vázquez y Antonio Vázquez, logrando el bronce el dúo lusitano Serafim Gonçalves y Rafael Campelo(CN Povoense).

Es la primera vez que en España se celebra una regata de estas características, y lo hizo con total éxito y la participación de 25 clubes de toda la península. El orgaizador Liceo Marítimo de Bouzas, con este evento y de la mano de la Semana Abanca, entra así por la puerta grande en la más reciente historia de la vela olímpica española.
