All-Australian team ‘33 South Racing’ has been confirmed as the only Australian team to compete in the highly engaging Extreme Sailing Series™, presented by Land Rover, with the debut team successfully securing a wild card entry into Sydney stage of the series. 33 South Racing (33SR) will be helmed by match racing champion Katie Spithill during the challenging and exciting races in Sydney from the 10th - 13th December 2015.

Spithill will be joined by Volvo Ocean Racer (team SCA) Stacey Jackson; multiple A-class world champ Steve Brewin; and World Match Racing Tour competitor Henry Kernot.

Now in its ninth season, the award winning and adrenaline fuelled global Extreme Sailing Series has given the sport of sailing a health dusting-off. Bringing the action to the public with Stadium Sailing, putting guests at the heart of the battle and dramatically increasing the pace on the water, the creators of the Extreme Sailing Series have set new standards both in terms of high level competition and sporting entertainment.

The team will be training all throughout November on Sydney Harbour in preparation for the action in December. To help prepare and fund its participation, 33SR is offering sporting fans the chance to enjoy a hands-on once in a lifetime Extreme Sailing experience with the boat and crew of the elite extreme 40 boat. These exclusive experiences will combine time on an elite extreme 40 boat, an opportunity to meet and interact with the world class race team and to learn from some of Australia’s top sailors on how to handle these extreme machines.
