CICSA Keelboat National Championship - National One Design Sailing Academy is pleased to announce that it will be hosting universities from across Canada for the 2015 edition. Teams will travel to Oakville, Ontario October 2nd - fourth to compete in the waters off the Oakville waterfront.

The competition will be held aboard a fleet of 10 Flying Tiger 7.5m sport boats provided by 1D Sailing, which sets an exciting stage with asymmetric spinnakers and modern design.

Teams will be competing for the opportunity to represent Canada next year at the 2016 Student Yachting World Cup in La Rochelle, France.

The CICSA president Geo Miller remarked 'We are very excited to have 1D Sailing host our Student Yachting World Cup (SYWoC) qualifier. The boats they are providing are all weighted within two lbs of each other, which should make for some very competitive days of racing and give everyone a fair shot at representing Canada internationally. CICSA is looking forward to a very professional and well-organized regatta.'

Marketing Director for 1D Sailing and two-time Olympian Greg Douglas stated 'this is an exiting event for 1D Sailing. Hosting events like this will help to progress sailing within Canada. 1D is committed to bringing Canada's top collegiate sailors together to compete in Oakville.'
