Sydney can expect up to 800 dinghies to grace her Rose Bay shores over the January period thanks to the 2016 SPLASH Festival. Woollahra Sailing Club is the proud home of the ‘Sail Play Live Across Sydney Harbour’ Festival, showcasing the best of high performance dinghy racing and youth sailing in Australia.

The I14 National Championships, Australian 9er Championships and International 420 Championships will kick off the festival from the first – eighth of January, with the Australian Youth Championships following on from the ninth to fourteenth of January.

The events are expected to attract national and international sailors looking to test their skills in traditional Sydney seabreezes. Classes will be rotated over four course areas, from Kirribilli to Middle Head allowing multiple vantage points around the Harbour Foreshore.

Woollahra Sailing Club’s General Manager, Adam South, is looking forward to seeing the best of Australian sailing out in ‘some of the best conditions in the world.’

The SPLASH team hopes that the sailing and general community will get involved in the festivities. High performance racing is always sure to be fun, fast and exciting to watch, with thrills and spills are sure to please any passer by!

NORs and Entry for all events will be live by Friday and if you have any queries please feel free to contact the SPLASH team at Woollahra Sailing Club.
