2015 Europeans O’pen Bic – Day 1 overall + Video

2015 Europeans O’pen Bic – The afternoon wind from south saves the day with four races for U16 and U19, and three for the little ones U13.

The Arco Sailing Team Bearer, Leonardo Chistè first at the most noumerous division, the U16
Arco, TN – The early wake up call has not helped the willing participants and all the organizers at the Arco Sailing Club, with Race Committee, Jury, Secretary, Marks-layer, who have started animating the club at 6:30am for the eventual start planed for 7:30am. The north wind has in fact a showed up just for a little while because of the night storms.
But the patience has been rewarded and in the first afternoon, once the sky was clear from the clouds, a good wind from south has arrived (14 knots), which allowed the regular fulfillment of the first four races for U16/U19 and three first three for U13.

U13 division
At the youngest division prevail the French and German sailors, with the attempt to attack the podium by the Italian Leopoldo Sirolli and Gregori Cordero di Montezemolo, currently the best of the country at fifth and sixth position (Tognazzi Marine Village). At the first place the French Julien Bunel(1-5-3), at the second Magnus Frohmann from Germany with nine points (4-1-4), third another French Michez, who won the third and last race of today.

U16 division
The most participated division with 80 sailors has been dominated by the Italians instead, which from the beginning have taken the very first positions.

After four races Leonardo Chistè from Arco Sailing Team is at the first place (8-2-2-1). At the second place the Sardinian Filippo Vincis (LNISulcis) with plus three points. Slipped into third position for a disappointing fourth race, is Ludovico Journo from the Tognazzi Marine Village. At the fourth position, the 2013 World Champion Federico Zampiccoli athlete of the Organizing Club, has been discontinuous with his partial results 2-10 -1-14. First female the Polish Natalia Kuczys, seventh overall.

U19 division
Five the participants in this division, with very regular results: at the first place the Czech Veronica Živná(1-1-1-1), followed by the Portuguise Mafalda Pires De Lima (2-2-2-2) and by the Italian Stefano Cogotzi (Centro Vela Dervio, 3-3-3-5).
