SailLaser expands in China

LaserPerformance and Shanghai Far East (SFE) announce new partnership to develop dinghy sailing in People’s Republic of China.

SailLaser, a program sponsored by LaserPerformance, (the world’s largest manufacturer of sailing dinghies), to promote sailing and train enthusiasts all around the world to sail dinghies is proud to announce that it has agreed to partner with SFE to open SailLaser Centers in Shanghai, Diashan Lake and Suzhou Dushu Lake in 2015.

The Partnership Agreement was signed by Demolar Du, President of SFE and Bahman Kia, LaserPerformance CEO. In 2016 four additional Centers are planned, working with other sailing clubs in China. “China has a long tradition of being one of the best sailing countries in the world. Through the SailLaser Centers we are excited to be helping to train the next generation of sailors” Explained Mrs. Du. “We hope to rapidly expand these Centers across China in future years.” Shanghai Far East FRP Boat Co., Ltd., is the largest manufacturer and distributor of sailing dinghies, sailing yachts and rigid inflatable boats in China.

SailLaser’s mission is to teach people to sail, involve them in the sailing community and give them increased access to sailboats and water activities, regardless of their ability, gender, location or economic status.
