Hobie MultiWorlds and Hobie 16 Europeans kicks off next month

With just over 50 days till the Hobie MultiWorlds for Hobie14, Dragoon, Wild Cat and Tiger at Lake Garda, 23rd July to 1st August 2015 start. Everything is hotting up with the sailors practicing around the world for the biggest Hobie event on 2015. Containers have been packed and are being shipped. So it is all action for Lake Garda.

The European Hobie 16 Women, Masters, Grand Masters, Great Grand Masters and Open Spinnaker will be held at the same location 25-26 July. Hobie 16 Open Europeans 27th July to 1st August.There is also a Pre-European Hobie 16 clinic being held. Please see the story below for all the information.

It is not too late to enter and enjoy some of the best Hobie racing at Lake Garda. It is easy to sign up and be part of the fun, excitement, and action at the Hobie MultiWorlds and Hobie 16 Europeans.

The IHCA Rules Committee have issued some Questions and Answers to assist the sailors entering the MultiWorlds. This will ensure entry process to the MultiWolrds.

In May, the young Bermudan sailors were treated to sailing the Hobie Waves with Americas Cup legends. There are some wonderful stories, photos and video of the event. For the young sailors, this was a special moment for them. To race with some of the best-known sailors in the world on Hobie Waves. The young sailors skippered while the America’s Cup sailors crewed for them. When you see the smiles in the young sailors it showed the importance of getting the teenagers out on the water enjoying themselves.

The North American Youth Hobie Wave Championships at Sail Sand Point, Seattle June 26 – 28, 2015 looks to setting attendance records for a North American youth event. The hosts of the North American Youth Hobie Wave Championships, Hobie division four is also organising the Hobie 16 Youth Championships at Lake Quinault, Washington July 26 – 29, 2015.

The 2015 Hobie Cat 16 BSP Oceania Championship and the Total Fiji Hobie Challenge will be held concurrently from Saturday, 1st August to Thursday, 13th August. The Total Fiji Challenge (expedition racing) will commence in Smugglers Cove, Nadi and continue in the waters in the Mananuca Islands Group. The BSP Oceania Championship (course racing) will take place in the waters of Mananuca Islands. Accommodation needs to be booked now to ensure you get the best discounts.

Canada and Puerto Rico have had their selection for the Hobie 16 Teams to the Pan AM Games. Well done to all those that participated.

Tanzacat and Zanzibar Raid have released their Notice of Race. This is a race of real challenges for the sailors. New Hobie 16 and 14 boats are available for charter.he racing is in some very picturesque parts of the world. With great parties and fresh lobster at the racing sites this is one of the best long races around.

Thailand have completed their Hobie 16 Nationals and Tahiti has completed their Hobie Dragoon Polynesian Championships. As have France and Austria have completed their Hobie National Championships

New Caledonia Groupama Race update
Rushour crew safely back in Noumea after capsize The boat was located and it was identified as capsized. All crew members were accounted for. Crew were transferred in the larger aircraft at Koumac and arrived back at Noumea at about 4pm local time.
