Volvo Ocean Race – Equipes da Holanda e Espanha devem ser as primeiras a cruzar a linha de chegada em Lisboa. Resultado volta a colocar dúvidas de quem será o campeão, pois o Abu Dhabi não deve pegar pódio pela primeira vez e vantagem para os adversários deve cair!

Faltando menos de 200 quilômetros para a chegada em Lisboa, Portugal, os barcos Team Brunel e MAPFRE estão mais próximos da vitória, apesar de que na vela oceânica tudo pode ocorrer. O barco holandês tem pequena vantagem sobre o espanhol, mas a aproximação ao Tejo sempre reserva surpresas. O Dongfeng, segundo na classificação geral, é o terceiro e acelera para tentar reduzir a vantagem na pontuação para os líderes Abu Dhabi. Os árabes, por sinal, sofrem na quinta colocação e rivalizam com o Team Alvimedica pela quarta posição. Se acabar assim, praticamente todas as equipes têm condições matemática de título após sete das nove etapas da regata. 'Será uma autêntica corrida de velocidade até Lisboa', explicou Gonzalo Infante, meteorologista oficial da Volvo Ocean Race. 'Por isso as opções são poucas'.

Pelos lados da Espanha, a esperança é vencer para tentar se aproximar dos três primeiros colocados no geral. 'O Brunel anda muito bem e rápido. Agora entramos nas últimas horas e temos que prestar atenção em relação aos adversários e à zona de exclusão imposta pela organização na chegada', disse o espanhol Iker Martínez, comandante do MAPFRE, barco que tem o brasileiro André 'Bochecha' Fonseca. 'A entrada no Tejo é complicada e pela hora de chegada - madrugada ou manhã na Europa - teremos pouco vento. Isso pode aproximar ainda mais as tripulações'.
