Virtual Sailing World Championship – Intense competition

by SailX on 7 May 2015
Virtual Sailing World Championship SailX
Last Monday (4th May) marked the start of round two in the first ever Virtual Sailing World Championship. In round one, over 1,000 competitors from 60+ countries signed up. Amongst them, they completed 30,000 boat starts and 12,000hrs of racing between practice and official racing in the first week of this event (to put that in context it takes 36,000hrs to build a V65!)

With 87% of points still on the table in round two and round three there is still plenty up for grabs.

New competitors can join at any time, but best to get started as soon as possible as competition is intense.

Each day six Official Regattas take place and you only need to complete three regattas every fortnight to earn maximum points.

If you want to see what it’s all about, then check this video out or get sailing right away by visiting website
