Olympian Greg Douglas joins National One Design Sailing Academy

Canada's National One Design Sailing Academy is pleased to announce that two-time Olympian Greg Douglas has joined the 1D Sailing Academy team. 'We are very excited to have Greg coming aboard,' said Dave Smith speaking for 1D.

'We see a synergy between our company and the talent, expertise and knowledge of someone such as Greg.' 'At 1D Sailing we aim to have the best people in place designing, implementing and marketing our programs to provide the best adult learning experience possible.'

Greg has decided to refocus his energy having had a successful career highlighted with two Olympic Games and many World Championships. 'I am very thankful for all of the support that I received while on the Canadian Team and now I am excited to take the next step in my career. 1D Sailing has given me the opportunity to use the expertise and knowledge that I have gained to benefit and grow the sport of sailing.' stated Douglas.

'Greg will also be working to complete his degree in Marketing Management at Ryerson University, which he began following the 2012 London Olympics,' reported Smith, 'but he's already jumped right in to his new position and will be making several significant announcements as we gear up for the 2015 season.
