UIM Nations Cup - Italy's Roberto Lo Piano was unhurt following a spectacular crash during the closing stages of race 1 in Doha, Qatar.

The 47-year-old from Roma was running in the fifth place when he lost control of his powerboat on the finish straight on lap 20 of 22.

The race was won by Team Russia’s Andrei Panyuskin.

Race 2 starts at 15:30 hrs (local)
