Unprecedented response for Hobie Worlds

The Hobie Cat Co., the International Hobie Class Association (IHCA) and the Federación Mexicana de Vela (FMV) are proud to announce their most important coming event of the year - the Hobie Worlds 2004 competition, which will take place in Mexico’s Mayan Riviera, from May 4-14.
This event, which takes place every two years, has gathered more than seven hundred elite competitors from all over the world, all have classified in their countries to participate in their respective category in the World Championship.
In more than twenty five years, the Hobie Worlds has been hosted by many places such as Tahiti, Spain, Dubai, Australia, Hawaii, New Caledonia, among others.
Hobies are followed by millions of enthusiasts around the globe who own or admire the performance of the most popular catamaran in the world, with a fleet of more than 150 thousand sailboats world-wide.
The event’s official website for the past world championship, for example, received more than a million visits during competition.
On this occasion, however, the event has had an unprecedented response that has exceeded our expectations, leading to the conclusion that this is going to be the largest and most exciting Hobie Worlds ever.
More than 700 competitors and the ‘The Mayan World’, the most important tourism and sports area in Mexico, are ready, so come and join us.
