Barcelona World Race - GAES Centros Auditivos a franchi la longitude du cap Horn (67°17’35W) à 12H32MN TU, soit 13H32, heure française. Ils ont mis 59j 00h 32mn depuis le départ de Barcelone le 31 décembre 2014.

Les conditions sur zone sont AGITÉES, 25-28 nœuds de vent, une mer croisée et des creux de 4-5 mètres environ. Anna Corbella et Gerard Marin avaient déjà franchi le Horn à l’occasion de l’édition 2010-2011, Anna aux côtés de Dee Caffari et Gerard avec le navigateur français Ludovic Aglaor.

Ce sont maintenant trois équipages qui ont quitté le Pacifique Sud et vont maintenant remonter l’Atlantique en direction de Barcelone. Le leader Cheminées Poujoulat avait, quant à lui, franchi le cap Horn le 25 février à 00h53mn TU, soit 3j 11h 39mn devant GAES Centros Auditivos. L’écart entre le deuxième Neutrogena et le troisième des concurrents de la Barcelona World Race n’est que de 10h 20mn et pro met donc une belle bataille stratégique pour cette remontée de l’Atlantique.

We Are Water, One Planet One Ocean & Pharmaton, Renault Captur et Spirit of Hungary sont toujours dans le Pacifique. Le premier de ce groupe devrait contourner le promontoire chilien aux alentours du 7 mars.
