Today marked the final day of qualifying rounds for some of the Olympic split fleets while the others will remain in single fleet mode going into Wednesday’s racing. There was racing on all courses today with shifty winds fluctuating between 8-15kts.

Canadian Radial sailor Brenda Bowskill had another noteworthy day on Echo course posting a 5, 6, sitting in eighth overall and tied for points with American Haddon Hughes. ''I am pleased that my training over the last few months is paying off. My improved fitness really helped in the stronger breeze yesterday,' explains Bowskill. 'Clear starts are a big priority for this event.' Fellow Canadians Isabella Bertold, and Claire Merry will also move into the gold fleet for tomorrow’s racing.

Laser fleets completed 3 races today to round out their qualification series of 5 total races. Canadian Laser sailors will continue to play in the gold fleet including top Canadian Tom Ramshaw in 20th, Robert Davis, Lee Parkhill & Evert Mclaughlin. 'We have been working hard over the winter as a team training, and trying to improve our weaknesses, and its good to see that bearing fruit,' comments National Team Coach Steve Mitchell. 'The real competition begins now with the gold fleet, where there is no room for error at any point on the racecourse. Conditions look good for the next few days, so the boys will be giving it their ALL to get the best scores possible.' Brazilian Legend Robert Scheidt continues his fleet dominance with a 3-point lead over Australia’s Matthew Wearn.

Men’s RSX fleet completed their qualifying rounds today with six races on the board. Zac Plavsic makes the cut into the gold fleet with a 13, 16 on the day. Giard of France currently holds down the overall lead.

They will look to improve upon their result in the coming days. The FX fleet will continue in single fleet mode with Berry/Merry top Canadian in 28th

Canadian Finn sailor Greg Douglas slides back to 15th after a costly UFD penalty while fellow Canuck Martin Robitaille sits two spots behind him in 17th. Canadian Nacra 17 Team Nikola Girke and Luke Ramsay make a generous leap up the scoreboard with a third on their last race of the day, positioning themselves in 15th.

Canadian Sonar Team skippered by Paul Tingley had a challenging day on the Paralympic course sailing their drop race yet manage to still hold onto second place tied with Norway. Canadian SKUD team McRoberts/Gay also had trouble keeping their speed up forcing them back to fourth overall. SKUD coach Steve McBride explains, 'In a day of snakes and ladders, CAN found themselves more snake than ladder. Puffy and shifty conditions prevailed. We are still in a good mind frame with our process.'

Tomorrow’s forecast will deliver more breeze in the morning with a dissipation in the afternoon with temperatures below normal, in the All Results
