Name change announced for The Store Mason's Chandlery

by Morten Fogh on 7 Jan 2015
SW
The Store Mason’s Chandlery will now be known as Fogh Boat Supplies. On March 1, 2012, Morten Fogh purchased The Store Mason’s Chandlery from Lori Mason.

'After almost three years of operating the business as an Ontario numbered company using The Store Mason’s Chandlery’s name, I felt it was the right time to make the next transition within the business.', commented Morten Fogh, president of Fogh Boat Supplies. 'During the first season in 2012, nothing changed within The Store. I was careful to keep the look of the store the same. The staff remained the same and it was business as usual when customers came in. Slowly we moved the front counter and then the shelving to update the presentation. The name change is the final ‘big’ move in the ownership change and allows us to use the Fogh brand name that has a good reputation and is well recognized within the industry and marine community.'

The store continues to be well run by manager Mike Paulssen, assistant manager Dave Graff and all the familiar faces Allan, Jon, Heather and Colleen continue to work at the store. All the great selection, value, pricing and expertise is still the focus and the traditions of the many seminars and events that are hosted will continue.

Fogh Boat Supplies will still be known as 'The Store for your marine supplies'

Morten Fogh also owns Fogh Marine, another marine store in the west end of Toronto. Both stores are marine related; however, each caters to its own customer base; Fogh Marine is the performance sailing, small boat, kayak, fishing kayak and SUP store, while Fogh Boat Supplies is The Store for all the hardware and accessories for those with larger sail or power boats. Each store is independently run, but do work together to maximize efficiencies and value for their Fogh Boat Supplies website
