Volvo Ocean Race- Video of Team Vestas Wind being removed from reef

by Sail-World on 24 Dec 2014 24 days after the Volvo Ocean Racer, Team Vestas Wind ran aground, the boat was successfully removed from the Cargados Carajos Shoals.

Vestas shore manager Neil Cox led the team that performed a complex and difficult operation with the utmost professionalism and diligence.

Here's the video from the team, of the recovery of the wreck which is now on her way by Maersk shipping line to Mauritius, then Malaysia and finally onto Italy.

An announcement on the team's future plans will be made by the start of Leg 3 of the Volvo Ocean Race on January 3 in Abu Dhabi.
