The Sydney Trailer Boat Show will again run at Sydney Showground at Sydney Olympic Park, one of Australia’s leading and best known exhibition grounds. Having moved to this location from Rosehill in 2014, the venue has proved popular with the boating industry, and has laid the foundation for a long and beneficial future at the new site.
This year, visitation to the Show combined with the enthusiasm shown by the industry has demonstrated that this event will continue to deliver growth and serve the industry and the needs of the recreational boating community.
This event remains a critical part of the boating industry’s annual marketing program. The Show is of special importance to our industry as it allows our members to clear excess summer stock of new vessels or remaining quality used vessels.
Leading insurance provider, Nautilus Marine Insurance have offered their support and sponsorship for the event. Lyndon Turner, Managing Director of Nautilus said 'We are proud to be associated with this Show and wish for its continued success. It provides a great opportunity for you to showcase your products and services, and we hope for your success throughout the Show'.
'In 2015 we will be working with the BIA to ensure there are good visitor numbers, including buyers of your products and services to ensure you have good return on your investment at the Show' he added.
2015 will bring various changes to enhance the Shows plan for growth. The events name in 2015 will reflect the core of our business and be called the Sydney Trailer Boat Show. Whilst the ‘Outdoor Leisure’ sector will still be targeted, the simplification of the Show’s name will remove some ambiguity that was previously evident.
The Show will be repositioned to utilise the Dome as well as Hall two and part of Hall three. The size of the footprint will remain the same, but the Dome provides for a better entrance and more dominant presence in the precinct. To add to this, a new floor plan will provide a fresh look and create an improved flow through of visitors.
The BIA’s marketing and communications plan will change in mix to deliver a higher frequency and broader reach of the target audience.
Externally, boats and signage will make the venue more identifiable. Internally, the halls will include additions to lift the colour and ambience of the facility. The Show will feature a kid’s entertainment area and an education stage that will include a number of personalities to both entertain and educate our visitors.
The Sydney Trailer Boat Show will operate on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March from 9 am to 5 pm. As with past Shows the event will maintain its free entry for the visiting public.
Located close to Sydney Olympic Park Railway station, public transport provides simple and easy access. An abundance of parking in the surrounding precinct and parking stations offers a low-cost parking solution for those that wish to drive.
