Barcelona World Race 2014-15 - Les passionnés de course au large ne pourront pas se permettre de manquer les cours en ligne du Campus de la Barcelona World Race. Météorologie, médecine en mer, alimentation, chronobiologie ou bien encore océanographie, tous ces cours sont en lien direct avec le monde de la course au large et sont consultables en langue anglaise.

Intitulé des cours :

- Des stratégies pour gagner. « Météorologie dans une course autour du monde » (disponible jusqu’au 6 avril 2015) :

- La télémédecine: 'blessures, maladies et télémédecine dans des conditions de navigation exigeantes » (à partir du 15 décembre)

- La gestion du sommeil: « Récupérer dans un tour du monde à la voile sans escale. Chronobiologie et gestion du sommeil » (à partir du 26 janvier)

Conçue par la FNOB, l’Université de Barcelone et l’El far Consortium, le Barcelona World Race Ocean Campus est un portail d’exposés pédagogiques qui va couvrir des champs aussi divers que la technologie ou les sciences humaines appliquées aux spécificités de la Barcelona World Race. L’objectif du Campus est bien de diffuser les connaissances acquises à bord des voiliers de course au large, dans le cadre d’un enseignement universitaire rigoureux et structuré.

Disponibles sur le portail Canvas Instructure à compter de novembre 2014, ces cours sont gratuits et ouverts à tous. Ils aboutissent sur un certificat reconnu par l’Université de Barcelone, avec le concours d’experts spécialisés dans l’enseignement à distance. L’Ocean Campus de la Barcelona World Race entre dans la catégorie des MOOC (Massive Online Open Courses). Ce mode d’enseignement est couramment appliqué au sein d’institutions de pointe qui diffusent ainsi massivement leur savoir, gratuitement, au plus grand nombre. Les cinq cours énoncés plus haut sont disponibles en anglais, espagnol et catalan.

Le Campus de la Barcelona World Race constitue une initiative pionnière dans le monde de la course au large. Pour la FNOB, c’est totalement dans la logique des valeurs éducatives de son programme.
