St. Maarten Heineken Regatta has announced that Kool and the Gang will be performing for the upcoming 2015 event. The roster for this anniversary edition is filling up quickly and organizers are excited to announce that this internationally known band, which has been performing continually for 35 years, will grace the Regatta stage on Sunday March 8th, 2015. Kool and the Gang was established in 1954 and with a infectious blend of funk, jazz and soul they deliver a performance that will keep you on your feet and dancing to the beat all night long. Their accomplishments are well-known, and they have performed nonstop for 35 years, longer than any other R&B group.

St. Maarten Heineken Regatta participants, island residents and visitors will be treated to songs that have made Kool and the Gang famous, such as 'Celebration', 'Get Down on it' and 'I Want to take you Higher'. Their infectious beats will most certainly get the crowds heart rate up and their show promises to be one of a kind. The band is currently on tour and preparing for upcoming performances in Japan, Sri Lanka and the USA before making their way to St. Maarten.

Saturday night's energetic performer, Jamaican born Tessanne Chin, is no stranger to the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta stage. She first performed during the 2012 event alongside her sister Tami Chin, delivering a heart pounding, body moving performance. Since then her career has taken off, and in 2013 Tessanne was the winner of The Voice USA, blowing away the competition. Her rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', soared to number one on the ITunes overall song chart, a first time for the show since its inception.

The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta organization is very excited for the upcoming line-up, and promise more acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
