When it was presented at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the Monte Carlo Yachts 86 was one of the contenders for the Editors’ Choice Awards, winning in the 80-89 feet Best Motor Yacht category.

The AIM Marine Group Editors’ Choice Awards were announced on Friday 31 October, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. During the evening event, held at the Tranquilo Hotel, the Monte Carlo Yachts 86 won in the Best Motor Yacht (80-89 feet) category. This was the crowning moment of the success of the US debut of this over 26-metre long yacht.

The panel, made up of the editors of prestigious American specialist magazines, explained why it chose the MCY 86: 'Cutting-edge construction technology, intelligent design and exemplary handling in the water: this is one of the best yachts we’ve sailed on for a long time.'

Carla Demaria, President of Monte Carlo Yachts, expresses her delight: 'To be picked by the panel of judges for the Editors’ Choice Awards, combined with how positively the MCY 86 and the whole range were received by our customers at the event, demonstrates once again that we are taking the product in the right direction.'

This latest prize joins the Asia Boating Award that the MCY 86 won in Hong Kong earlier this year. The best product Made in Italy and Made in France really does itself justice around the world
